Areas: where to live
Tourist center
Tran Phu promenade, the city beach, cafés and shops. Everything is walkable, but it is noisier and pricier than other areas.
North Nha Trang
Quieter than the center and popular with long-term Russian-speaking residents. Local markets and lower prices; the beach and the center are a short ride away.
Hon Chong
The northern end of the bay by the Hon Chong rocks: new high-rises with sea views and its own beach, 10–15 minutes from the center.
South Nha Trang
South of the center towards the port and the Vinpearl cable car. More local neighbourhoods, quieter and cheaper; the beach is not always walkable.
An Vien
A gated hillside neighbourhood on the road to Cam Ranh: villas and townhouses, quiet, with bay views. You will need a bike or taxi.
West Nha Trang
Residential neighbourhoods west of the center along 23/10 Street: Ha Quang, Phuoc Hai, Vinh Diem Trung, My Gia. Newer houses and small apartment blocks, quieter and cheaper than the seaside areas; the beach is 10–15 minutes by bike.
